Ok so i had my car dyno'd a few weeks back. I have a d16z6, built and boosted, but no head work. On the dyno i noticed during the tune there was no significant curve from vtec, i made about 235 whp but we couldnt crank the boost any higher then 19psi because i was gettin valve float at about 6500rpm, as my redline is 7200 and so my torque starts to drop off. I recently redid my wire harness and found my vtec ground was severed. If my vtec was to work during a retune would that affect my valve float problem and potential fix it? i mean i know getting new valve springs and retainers would help but i wanted to know if that would do some justice to the problem.
