I searched and couldn't find this so if it's a repost sorry but.......
the indecision the indecision...the epic battle.......H2B or K series??? Now I'm a K series fan but my buddy showed me this videos on youtube of H2Bs SMOKING Kseries swapped cars, I've looked on other forums and on the internet and people have been going both ways H>K or K>H. Heard H has more torque but K is 6 speed that makes up for it, and have heard things like H2B has same horse power for less money. I already like Ks so spending more money isn't a problem ESPECIALLY if it's worth it....what do you guys think? __________________

yeah I know they're expensive I talked about that in my thread I'm not gonna run away from the price, if I'm getting what I paid for and I'm thinking of maybe putting it into an EK hatch they seem like the lightest choice

bottom line dude, somebody will always be faster.
i could build an H without h2b that would kick the shit out of a k-series. i could build a k thats faster than an H. which do YOU want to build. which do YOU want to pay for. in the end, i would turbo a b-series. can't beat 270hp for $5000. all motor is the expensive way to go slow. |

i have seen several FI b-series that have 0 issues whatsoever. 99sidude on here had a supercharged gsr in his has. ran it for 2 years before he sold it. the catch is having a decent engine and tuning it. anything will blow up if it's not done right, even NA. |

so you're telling me that you know everything in and out about a k-series? every little nut and bolt?
if you do, a turbo isn't that many more parts and isn't hard to understand. hell, you could have a bone stock k series and have an oil pump go out or headgasket blow. the point is, your topic has been discussed 2345151 times already. let me help you out. 1) what is your budget? hard numbers, no bullshit 2) how much whp do you want. |

sorry I forgot to answer the first part of your first question, no I dont know every nut and bolt of ANY engine I was saying I've been puttin git off and putting it off doing ANYTHING because I'm such a perfectionist I was scared to mess up but I figure such is life the sooner I start the sooner I can perfect it, nope never driven a 300hp honda but have heard thigns here and there, drag seems most appealing to me but I know some people that do road racing I might hit that up too but definately drag calls me

I say if you have $7K to work with find an EG shell on the cheap, pick up an LS, build it and boost the shit out of it, it will walk all over a K and be cheaper. My $0.02
