I have a d16y8 that i am putting a turbo on right now and looking to get around 200whp. I have a used d16y8 with 140K miles on it and have not noticed any problems. My question is what transmission is best to use with a D-series motor or should I stick with the one that I have? Does it make a difference if it is JDM. Should I try and get an lsd tranny or add lsd? If so can you tell me where I can get either the whole lsd tranny or just the lsd for a d-series.

You already have the best d-series tranny. It has the shortest gearing and steel shifter forks. I have the same tranny along with a quaife LSD, it works great and comes with a lifetime warranty.
