The Y7 is a non-VTEC engine. If you want VTEC, you don't want that head. In fact, there's no point in using it for a head swap unless you're in dire need of getting your car running.

well since your putting it on a a6 block i think it would be easier to just put a z6 head on it,

It's just software, the actual burning of the chip doesn't cost much either, making a good map (tuning) is what costs money or you could learn how to use the program....but then again you have to know what you're doing or you're blow up your motor.
