FYI, Fit Aria aka Honda City also affected. Cos' they using the same CVT transmission. Below are the information for Fit Aria (City)

For GD8 :
Affected car chasis number : GD8-1008829 to GD8-1010230
Production date : 27th July 2003 to 21st Sept 2003

The problem lies in the CVT belt. Below is the description of the problem.

Since the press processing of the piece (element) which constitutes the metal belt of a belt type CVT is unsuitable, there are some which the body part of an element was changed. Therefore, the load at the time of running concentrates on an element root part, a crack is produced, and when the worst, there is a possibility of a fracture, and the fracture may bite between a metal belt and a pulley, the metal belt may also fracture, and running may become impossible.
