Default Mugen Sport Suspension

The GD3 Mugen Sport Suspension will fit on the USDM GE8 fit.

There is no hole-drilling required, as the USDM GE8 uses 14mm bolts from the strut housing to the suspension uprights. Aside from the mounting points for the brake line, and the ABS cable, it's a perfect fit.

The strut housing doesn't have the mounting brackets for the ABS and brake line, so you'll have to fabricate something. I used two zipties, one around the strut housing, and one to hold the brake line to the zip tie around the strut housing.

I'll fabricate something more permanent a bit later.

Handling is as expected for Mugen's suspension package.

I'll have some more pictures with the new brackets tomorrow when I swap on the winter tires/wheels.

The only extra parts you need besides the GD3 Mugen Suspension:
GD3 Brake line brackets
GD3 Brake lines
GD3 End Links (not really needed, but helps maintain the suspension geometry)

Another update:

The suspension has been performing flawlessly. The ride height isn't bad at all, I don't have to worry about speedbumps or anything. I took the fit to Ocean City, and drove on some really bad roads, I scraped the airdam getting to a gas-station, but nothing else. And I don't drive especially carefully.

I have put about 2k miles on the suspension now, and I have loved every bit of it. The car responds, it hasn't almost gotten out from under me, and I feel in-control. I dn't feel like I'm driving an econobox, just an underpowered car that understeers.

I still need to fix the understeer problem, at the Philly airport Sunday I noticed how bad it understeers. I'm going to try playing with tire pressures a bit again. My track pressures seem to be correct, I just have to get the street pressures fixed.

Sweet! The Fit is such a capable chassis. You should look into a rear sway bar to counter the understeer. I'm surprised that it even has the problem. All of my Civics tend to oversteer when I lift off the throttle in a sharp turn.

Rear anti-roll bars just reduce traction in the rear, I want all the traction I can get. I'm going to play with the front roll bar before I mess with the rear. The rear is a torsion beam, so I'd rather play with the front setup first.
