This is a discussion on Boost ga. reliability vs. Map sensor readings... in the Forced Induction forum
The other day I noticed something... my autometer boost gauge shows me maxing out at 14-15 psi right now. My Apexi S-AFCII (used for gauge purposes only) tops at 82kpa (converted to 11.9Psi). With the SAFC getting that reading from a Motorala 2.5BAR MAP sensor, ...

| The other day I noticed something... my autometer boost gauge shows me maxing out at 14-15 psi right now. My Apexi S-AFCII (used for gauge purposes only) tops at 82kpa (converted to 11.9Psi). With the SAFC getting that reading from a Motorala 2.5BAR MAP sensor, which would you say is more accurate? The analog boost gauge, or the S-AFC??? It would be nice to know how much boost I am ACTUALLY running! Thanks!!! Pls post any experiences with this topic! |

| If it had a leak, it would be reading less boost instead of more... I guess I don't understand how the voltage output from the MAP sensor can relate to an exact amount of actual pressure. I would think the analog gauge reading directly from static pressure (if calibrated correctly, and it should be) would be more accurate. Nobody else?? anyone?? |
