I found this article a bit ago and I was wondering if you guys think it's a good idea to build a custom turbo kit. It does seem a LOT cheaper then buying a new turbo kit. Will it perform just as good as a revhard or a greddy turbo kit?

I think it's a great idea for a few reasons..

1) You can pick and choose the components that suit your budget and performance goal.

2) You'll learn a LOT more by doing it yourself. You'll learn not only what parts you need, but what their jobs are and how they interact.

3) The pride that comes with fabricating something yourself, even if you just buy the parts and bolt them together.

Custom turbo kits. The best. The pros don't call up Rev Hard or Greddy and ask for a turbo system. They build everything for themselves. Choose your components for you're need. When tuned properly... a custom setup is the best.

Good luck.
