Yeah I was wondering, whats the max boost i could push with my d16a6 motor?
specs: stock internal 450cc injector greddy td04 turbocharger with internal wastegate jdm intercooler afc tuning, stock ecu so right now Im boosting 6 psi and I wanted to push more. whats the max i could push it to be safe: any info thanks |

1,000,000 PSI. Throw the stock injectors back on, turn down the fuel pressure, and watch it fly...

I'd say about 15psi before you blow something. That's pretty normal for D-series.
RLY? What's a JDM intercooler look like? Is it different than a USDM intercooler? Oh, nevermind, I know. The JDM intercooler exits on the right side, right? Lose the greddy e-manage. It's a good way to fuck up an engine.

leave it where its at, get rid of the hack and get your ecu chiped and tuned properly, that piggy-back will end up blowing your motor. psi means nothing, you need to figure out how much cfm your turbo is putting out, a t-25 at 15psi will put out as much cfm as a t3/t4 60trim at 7psi, get it tuned properly if you want it to last

check out ZealAutowerks - Honda Compression Calculatorfind out what your effective CR is and make sure its a green signal. Too much boost will cause detonation, and thats not good for d stock internals. Unless you wanna spend loads of money rebuilding a car thats not meant for giving tonnes of horse power. The rod-stroke ratio isnt very boost friendly. If you just wanna boost with stock internals, expecting 160whp or something just go for 6 psi boost and tune it.
