This is a discussion on looking to make 500whp turbo ls/vtec in the Forced Induction forum
I am looking to make around 500whp on a built ls/vtec motor with 9.0:1 compression. I am un-sure of what turbo/manifold to go with. Full-Race kits are expensive but I see 50trim kits on e-bay for like 700-1000 bucks.... t3/4 50 trim turbos....how bad are ...

| bigger is better, 500 whp is a lofty goal. you shouldn't be worried about cost with a goal like that |

| To get that hp your best off going with a Full-Race kit. An ebay kit won't get you half that. Why? Because it's shit and WILL break. |

| ok that explains it =) and im trying to keep in under 10k for the build and turbo setup. Full-Race is what I will go with =) question is, should i go bigger than a 60 trim? |
