Is it better to have the O2 sensor on the downpipe, closer to the turbo, or closer to the catalytic converter?

Stick it somewhere in the downpipe. Mine is fairly close to the turbo and works well (4 inches maybe?), so I don't think placement is that big of a deal. I'm pretty sure you don't want it closer to the cat converter though. Just make sure it's out of the way of anything.

all 4 pipeshave come together, merged, and the flow of exhaust is smothed out.
