Default Turbo Advice

i am looking for minor boost on my d15block d16y8 head mini me. ive seen a couple for sale on here and i was wondering which would be the best bang for the buck? my three options are

1. eBay Motors: T3/T4 Turbo Kit D16 CIVIC 92 - 2000 w/ INTERCOOLER CRX (item 230170505183 end time Sep-13-07 14:00:13 PDT)

2. t3/t4 hybrid used only 15min
dsm bov
brand new black charge piping
like new stealth mode oil lines
all elbows and clamp
custom made downpipe
manifold w t3/adapter
all oil fittings
intercooler
total cost: 500$ shipped.

3. K03 turbo (audi) internal waste gate
Wrx bov
intercooler
Custom 3" down pipe
hf manifold
Front mount intercooler
Brand new boost gauge
Side mount intercooler
total cost:$400

im aware of the other mods needed. injectors, maybe bigger fuel pump, chipped/tuned ecu etc... i just want to no from other turbo owners which would they prefer for this setup, bang for the buck. any info would be appreciated.

Why on earth does everybody want to slap such a big turbo on such a small motor? Get a T25 off of ebay for $100.

Check out homemadeturbo.com too.

My 240 ran low 13's with a T25 . . . and it was a 2.0 liter. The T25 should be fine for your 1.5l.

I have never turbo'ed a honda, but the HMT website is a great source of info. You better not spend over $400 to tubo your car -> its pointless as your parts are mostly pipes/manifolds.

im thinking of buying a complete kit greddy turbo and internals all done, but seeing as i never turboed before i am just runnin all stock with a HMT. Ive learned doing things for the first time never end as expected so id rather have my mistakes done on sumthin a lil less expensive lol. dont get me wrong ive rebuilt min-me's, 2.4 prodigy engine, sir etc... but turbo? ill see what my HMT gets me. if i go threw with it expect to see it in a couple months.

runs fine, i bought all the turbo kit parts, but then i sold the whole kit i assembled for 1000 bucks. i never even put it on because i wasnt ready, im not doing any severe engine mods until spring when the winter beater goes off the road.

so i sold the hmt and will probably buy a pre-fabed kit
sorry for the thread jack

umm yeah, take your 1100 and piece together your own. much cheaper, and as long as you buy a quality manifold, turbo, and wastegate you should be ok
