my friend is in the process of doing a homemade turbo kit and he picked up an internally gated t25 and he bought a cast manifold that already had the wastegate flange on it. we were both wondering what should we do with the flange, because it seems like it would just really be a hole in the manifold or should he just buy an external wastegate.

You can just put a plate over it. I havr a few of them left. Let me knoe if he needs it. But you cn probly make one just the same

if its still possible, take the mani off the engine, go to home depot, go through the bolt bin till you find one that fits. i've ended up doing that many a time with homemade stuff.
