i was wondering if i could swap the old engine in my 1988 honda accord lx to a b16?

you dont want to put a B16 in an accord. First a b16 has almost no torque. Second, if you have an lx, then its carburated. It would not be easy to convert it to FI. Id suggest you do this swap to a civic. Or if you can get an LX-i, i've heard of people using an h22. Good luck. (I'd do more research before doing a swap yet)

whats the i stand for in lx-i? and how hard is it to change to fuel injected?

1990 or newer Accords are a snap. I think there's a website for the third gen Accord boys. thirdgen.com or something, but I can't remember. <_<
