I have been reading some things, and it was my understanding that the optimal air/fuel ratio was always 10:1. But it seems that this isn't correct at all, especially for forced induction. Comments? Wisdom?

Get on the dyno, figure out which ratio gives you the most power over a range of revs, then tune to match- once you have that, you can start playing with varying ratios to get the power where you want it at each rev band. My B20/VTEC made its best power around 11.5:1. Every setup is different.

yes, put your car on a dyno.

12:1 vs 13:1 is usually where the most power is made...but as calesta said every setup is different...with turbo setups usually running richer to make the most power.
