DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU NEED 2 PUT PINS ON TO YOUR CARBON FIBER HOOD EVEN IF IT LATCHES INTO THE OG HONDA LATCH.

It's safer, plus the "key" ones are supposedly from extra protection so no one can get into your hood... although all you would need is a few screw drivers and a saw.

it's not mandatory but it's recommended, personally I would to be safe.


I had a CF hood and never used hood pins and nothing ever happened, but buddy of mine finished his 240sx NA used for scca racing, and his first time with the car at the track, with brand new paint, etc...well his hood came off and fucked the windshield and dent the roof of the car..

so in other words, put hood pins in

Where could I buy the locking type hood pins? and are they they ones that have the circular key (like a bike lock)? Thanks alot
