i am looking for the compression specs for a 1st gen b16a i know that the ratio is 10.2:1 but i need the psi specs anybody out there know

i don't know the compression on the spec you gave, but if you go ahead and do the compression test and all 4 cylinders are above, say, 150, and the difference is < 8% or so, you're fine..

not sure what the specs from honda are, but when I tested mine after the swap all the cylinders tested between 195-210psi...........

I am pretty sure that Honda calls for the compression (at least on later b16's) to be 242 +or- 28 PSI for a new healthy cylinder. Make sure that when you run the compression test, you pull the fuse for the ECU, give WOT, crank over, stop when the needle stops jumping.

my LS test was 180 across the board, a b16a should be alot higher b/c of vtec, so my guess is around 200-220
