Luded

Ok today I was driving i had about 6 bars left on my gas gauge then all of a sudden my gas light comes on. i looked at my trip odometer and its right around where i normally am at 6 bars. So i go to the next gas station and put 5 bux in the gas light goes away. Any one know why it would have done that? Also does ne 1 know ne thing about the gas light on the prelude it comes on sometimes with 4 bars sometimes with 3 sometime it dosent come on with 2 or 1. Also ne one know why mine sometimes is dull then goes bright then sometimes will blink from dull to bright.
