vtec is for gas economy. if you want to go fast, just get cams that are just as agressive as vtec lobes...
companies like crower can custom make you cams to any specs |

What I ment is if your only worried about running at the track and making quick quarter passes, then you can get away with just large, agressive cams in a non-vtec head. Blanco is correct tho, you will lose low end power.
If your a street car, and you can find a vtec head, then it'll work a little better for your application. I'm not sure what goals your going after, or what numbers your wanting. Take a look at our reference section and you can look at what motors have what features, along with a lot of other great useful information. then get back to us |

![]() You can make this combo work, but it's kind of retarded honestly. A straight B16 or a straight LS would be much preferable to an LS head on the 1.6 block. __________________
