Default Horn WTF'S

Soo I'm sitting in my room and this assholes alarm goes off...just a constant HONKKKKKKK and i'm thinking to myself "what a douche, its been 10 mins, go turn off the car already"

30 seconds later I get a knock, and open the door and the horn is fucking LOUD. Guess who's car has an alarm system that was "removed" before sale? FML

Question is, 1)why did it go off NOW, after like a YEAR of driving, and 2)
how to disable/remove the horn temporarily.

I took out the battery, only to start it and it was fine, it just chirped a bit. The horn never worked in my car, and frankly I liked it better that way. I was getting around to fixing it, but I need this problem solved. Any feedback would be appriciated

I would imagine just pull the horn fuse or cut the wire to the horn, sure you wont have a horn but how often do you use it anyway

I was just thinking, his lights would still be going so that could still kill the battery.. so I'm not to sure
