I was about to trade my car into the dealership but they told me that they dont give any credit for aftermarket parts. As soon as i get home i strip it of all its aftermarket parts. I put the stock spark plug wires back on and messed up the firing order. Now when i start it, it backfires if i give it any gas at all. I just changed the spark plugs because they were all burnt out i guess from messing up the firing order, so now there are new spark plugs and it sounds alot better but when i go to drive it, it still backfires. What have i done to my car? is it serious? any ideas?"

What other aftermarket parts did you have to remove?

Maybe you tore up some valves? Run a compression test on the engine.

The firing order is 1 3 4 2
its from right to left on the valve cover
and on the dizzy on is the one closest to the firewall, and rotate clockwise from there
