ok so i bought a tranny with 0 miles on the rebuild from a guy who lives about an hr from me. he claimed it was a ls trans with a full rebuild (bearings, seals, synchros) along with a quaife lsd. it had the right axle hole, and the thing was pristine looking, so i believed him. he said he had all the reciepts, and that he would fax them to me asap.. that was over a month ago. i still havent gotten them. regardless, i bolted the trans to my motor, and it seemed to work ok for about 15 feet , then i felt a slight pop, and it wouldnt move anymore. i lifted the car up, and now the pass side doesnt turn, only the drivers side. and some gear oil started leaking out of the pass side axle hole. does this sound like a fried diff? and does anyone know what quaifes warranty is?

Is the axle in properly, when I had my LS it was a bitch to get in, I used to drive it around partially in and it would pop out around turns (gotts to love those newbie days). I ended up just wackin the shit out of the brand new axle....it worked.

ya, i bet your passenger side axle just popped out. might want to replace the snap ring that holds it in the diff as well.

Werd. I've known many friends that have had this problem countless times.
