I bought my intake a few years ago and it cost me about $150.00, it was a short ram intake too. It cost a few bucks because the import scene was new to the area and so prices were high. But my question is, on the onside of my intake pipe, there are scores or engraved looking lines throughout the pipe ? What is that ? My intake sounds super loud compared to others and some people say the scores on the inside are to turbulate the air and create a better intake of the cold air ??? got me ??? any answers ? do any other intakes have that ?

take pics of it, what brand is it? I have Injen short ram air intake and it sounds great, nice sucking sound at idle and at full throttle it sounds mean.
