Ok, I've had a couple cooling problems when running at 80mph for over 20 minutes at a time. this just started recently

I have decided that maybe my thermostat is bad so I am going to replace it because it is probably as old as the car (a 92)

is it worth the extra $60 to go with a spoon or Mugen low temp thermostat or should I just get an oem?
am I going to notice my engine running cooler because of the lowtemp thermostat? is that going to have any positive or negative effect on the engine?

please post thoughts, opinions, rants, or abusive smileys
