My 96 Civic Sedan DX has some problems with shifting every now and then. Sometimes when I try to shift into 2nd, its kinda stiff like it doesn't want to go in. It hasn't gotten to the point where it won't go in at all but what the heck ? Is this the synchros or something ? My 99 civic tranny doesn't act like this and I treat that tranny like dirt.

if it is the synchros, can you fix that problem ? DIY or a local shop ??? How much ? or is it cheaper to just buy another tranny ?
