i currently have my stock hf tranny with a stage two centerforce clutch

the first thing i would like too know is what makes a tranny good?

long high speed gears
or
short quick gears

i spoke with another crx owner who swapped in a non vtec d16 and used the hf tranny, chipped his ecu to 8000 rpm and he said his second gear will take him to 105 at 8000. that is a little wierd. i would rather shift.

if short quick gears make better times then what tranny should i get that will be compatable with my centerforce clutch?

thanks

get a crx si tranny or a zc tranny if you want better times. if you go with a zc tranny you will have to use the zc axles

or u can get the si tranny with the zc final gear for an awsome combo. and my old hf with d15b8 swap would go 90 with the pm8 so 105 with the pm6 could be a possiblity. but it does not have much accelaration

HF's are geared for economy...

You do this, get a JDM ZC tranny, and have the final drive of a Si installed.

Si FD = 4.25

Thats real good for Turbo (per Calesta)
