Well, after reading Ian's build, he got my thinkin about my need for a catch can on my motor when it comes in(hopefully they'll be done this week!!).

Heres some quick diagrams I threw together. This is similar to Ian's, but I added a Tee fitting on the black box and left nipple.

Will this work? I think this is what most people do...

Or should I do it similar to Ian's build, buy buying the Prelude nipples and stuff? :

Heres some I found for turbo motors...

Thx fellas.

Hate to bump an old thread, but I'm still needing some help.

Do I need to setup a vacuum on the catch can?
or can both lines just run straight into the can, like my first drawing?

on mine i just ran 2 #10an fitings from the front of the valve cover strait to the can

Yeah, but D series only have 1 valve cover breather. B's have 2.

I plan to eventually do an AN setup, but I need something soon

B's only have one valve cover breather...what Cypher did is drill two holes in the front of his valve cover and put AN nipples in them.

Here's a great writeup oh the catchcan/breather/whatever thing that I used...it's for a B-series, but everything is more or less the same. Honda Acura Forum - Tech Performance Forums : Civic, Integra, Accord - DIY Oil Catch Can -- How to

My engine was set up like the first diagram. For a turbo setup, I would want to make sure that the oil drain has a straight shot DOWN to the catch can.
