when i plugged #1 with my finger it seameed to help the idle... and finally my biggest idiot question that i havent been able to answer myself...what is #5 i cant find the other end to the plug... i first thought erg...but idk

I think #4 goes to #9 (JDM firewall mounted MAP).....at least my JDM B16A TB was just like that.

Looking a the pics, on the hard coolant lines, I shitcanned them all and use rubber lines everywhere on my install. Also, after years of using screw type and spring type clamps, I have gone back to using OEM spring type. Get the replacement hose at the auto parts store, they should also have the spring clamps you need for the smaller lines up to about 5/16". If not, just goto the dealer parts counter and order up a dozen or so. Why spring type? They never get loose and weep coolant. I HATE the smell of coolant coming from under the hood, only to look for it and not find it bacause it's under the intake manifold or somewhere else ya can't see.

If your engine is solid, no knocks or major oil leaks or oil consumption this will be a worthwhile endeavor for sure. Clean it up and you will have a nice ride.

Oh and on the vacuum nipples: #3 is the dash pot and not needed, #4 should be for the firewall mounted MAP sensor. Not sure WTF #11 is.

You can read up on what a Dash Pot is on Google. I don't run one on mine anymore, have a 5 speed with lightened up 12# flywheel and it shifts just fine.

Whatever #11 is, if it needs repair, no big deal. Pull TB off of engine, drill it out and goto hobby shop and get a piece of brass tubing, cut to length, scuff the end with sand paper, and insert into hole with some JB Weld or other suitable expoxy and let it cure.

Keep the faith bro, you'll get it figured out - it's not that difficult. Plenty of good tech data available online for these cars.

thanks for the much needed direction im excited to get started on this ive only had it a few weeks and barley drove it so i have plenty of ambition to do it plus i can put some of my own touches to it.

If you don't have to drive it, and have the time to go through it - it probably won't be that big a deal. And when you're finished with it, the familiarization will make future maintenance pretty easy.

and i mean if all else fails and the motor take a dump... i just need a new block go through everythring i have now and the damn near flawless body and ill be back or better off there where im at... if all goes to plan
