Will a magnet ruin a distributor?
My dad was cleaning out the distributor for my 99 civic with a magnet since there were metal shavings in it when he was drilling out a busted screw. Could that magnet have ruined my distributor? Thanks guys!

I don't see how using a magnet to pick up metal shaving would ruin a distributor
