A friend of mine has a sol, its a 93, supposed to be an Si. Has a P28, VTEC head, but the block is stamped D16A. doesnt look like someone has scratched off the last part of the block stamp, and there are no other discernable marks on the block. Doesnt look like a Z6, the manifold is too small. Im thinking its some sort of hot mini me swap, or is this a real block i never heard of? I checked the list here, according to that it doesnt exist...just making sure here.

i know all that, there is no suffix after the D16A. All those engines have something there like A6, Z6 etc....the block in his car is just a D16A.

my guess is that its jdm, or perhaps edm?

i know the h22 in the US is A1 or A4, but a jdm h22 is just H22A

so thats my guess...
possibly canadian also? i think their block stampings might be similar

it's a jdm motor out of a civic eg possibly from a 3rd or 4th gen... they are supposed to be fast but they only are if you build them right. <_<

the D16A is the JDM version of the USDM D16Z6 - came in JDM EJ1 Civic Coupe with automatic transmission, among others

Shit my guess would be JDM also, cause JDM motors dont have a # after the letter.

But I have never heard of that either?
