Engine RPM / 5th gear ratio / final drive ratio = axle RPMs

axle RPMS / Tire Rotations per mile (Found Here) = Miles per minute

then...

Miles per minute x 60 = Miles per hour

lol, my car goes down the highway at 80 at 4000 rpms. Its a honda. This isn't really that weird in imports or 4 cylinders. My dads mini is about 3500, and same with his Miata.

in 5th gear with a 4.4 final drive:
55 mph - 3000 rpm
65 mph - 3500 rpm
72 mph - 4000 rpm
80 mph - 4500 rpm
110 mph - 5500 rpm

That's just the way the B16 trannies are man.

alright, thanks, i was worried it was something wrong with mine. this is actually the first b series swap i have done. ive done many mini me swaps and stupid little things here and there. ive helped friends do them but this is the first one ive done and driven at highway speeds. usualy it was wide open or putting around so i didnt realize what rpms it was turning. befor the crx i drove a 93 3.0 ford ranger and it turned about 23-2500 at highway speeds and all the civics ive rode in turn about the same so.... i appriciate the help, im gonna put a thread in some other forum on here with a list of all the stuff ive done to it and a not so finished picture so look out for it and let me know what you think! thanks again! later
