so my ignition timing is way off. all timing marks line up perfect. when I have the timing light out, it is showing my ignition timing about an inch to the RIGHT of the TDC mark. I have no idea what could be doing this.
I've checked to see that sparkplug wires are all right. the rotor does point to #1 spark plug wire. and the holes in the camshafts are perfectly lined up, with the TDC mark on the crank pully lined up. I'm getting no codes, car runs ok when you get the RPMs up. I just looked over the dizzy wiring again to make sure its right. found 2 crimp connectors close to the cps, soldered them up.. here are some guesses(un-educated guesses)... spark plug wires shot? battery is in the trunk, too far for the timing light connections? dizzy wired wrong? shot dizzy? shot timing light? could it be the wrong crank pully? cps sensor shot? any ideas as to where the hell I went wrong would help |
