1997 Honda Civic Coupe HX with 2000+ JDM Integra Type R (210hp)

Car originally purchased in 2005 from the original owner with 86k miles. Never smoked in. Shortly after, purchase was made for the 1.8L JDM Integra Type R BEAST with original LSD transmission and Stainless Steel JASMA header (have receipt) with 39k miles.

Choice of HX was made based on having the 2nd lightest Civic made. Only 2350lbs (200 lbs less than EX) yet with power windows and locks and without the problematic sunroof.

Prior to installation, Timing belt and water pump were replaced. All modifications were done professionally (for those who are familiar with the wiring, mounts, etc..). All wiring was soldered and heat shrinked. No butt connectors used. Installation provided by local expert shop.

ECU modded P28 socketed ECU with several programs included are Kenji programmed chip and Mugen Programmed chip. Includes the conversion harness needed to adapt OBD2 to OBD1 car harness to ECU.

After motor installation exhaust was pure custom idea. My idea to take the Muffler from an Acura RSX Type S (flows for 220hp) and weld back custom 2.25" pipe with Stainless Magnalfow resonator. Worked perfectly. Sounds Stock and Deep. No raspiness. No exhaust heard on highway. My favorite modification on the car.

Other accessories include:

Sony GIGA panel (1gb flash memory in detachable face) stereo with upgraded Xploid speakers all around.

Honda Civic SI Gauge cluster
Greddy Shift Knob
Civic Type R headlights

Custom $2500 Dupont paint job including NEW door moldings and painted mirrors and moldings (identical to an SI) as well as Rear Tail lights upgrade to 2000 series. This car looks just like an SI!!!! and runs harder than an Integra Type R!!!!!

Short Ram intake. Lets you hear the engine ROAR. Especially in VTEC.

HX wheels (one of the lightest made) are in great shape. Look at the pictures. They really let the motor put the horsepower to the pavement.

Stiff/Polyurethane motor mount inserts had to be put in to minimize motor flex.

This car is the ultimate sleeper and road BEAST. The best of both worlds. Fuel economy is great 25-27mpg. Saves you money especially with todays gas prices!!!! And they're not getting cheaper.

Daily driver for 3 years. Put on about 25k miles on it (I only live 5 miles from work). Everything works great!!! A rare find. Look at the pictures and be the judge.

Not sure what the quarter mile time would be but the USDM 2000 Integra Type R (195hp) runs 14.9sec and weight is 2640lbs. You do the math and extrapolate the JDM, weight, and other modifications. 13's is what I have been told!!!! All I know is it breaks loose through third gear.

My loss is your gain. Already bought a new car. No hurry and please no low ball offers.

Thanks and good luck. Rest assured purchase from an eight year ebay member with excellent feedback rating.

nice car.

nice to see someone finally has a brain when trying to sell something. people normally say something like, "civic with itr swap. pm for pics and price".

how much are you looking to get? around 7-8k?

Any offers? What do you think it's worth?

verry clean. if im correct the b18c is rated at 190hp. its the jdm version of the b18c1 us americans are so fimilliar with. both are 190hp. the b18c5 is 210 horse factory. and are RARE to find.
its definatly a clean car, my offer will be 4500

FYI. The B18C is also the engine code for the JDM 98+ Integra Type R. It has 210hp. The USDM motors do not have 210hp.

Read the forums. That motor swap alone is $4500. Offer is quite low.

that setup is not a typeR....typer is a b18c5 code..thats only a b18c

Idiot. The motor is JDM. JDM motors do not have a fifth digit in their engine codes.

Anyhoo, very nice and clean ride. I'm surprised you never did anything with the suspension...

Thanks for the clarification on the B18. There seems to be a lot of confusion about that. I Like the stock ride. Comfortable for daily driving. Haven't been doing any rally racing or running from the cops!! LOL

well, it ended up going for $100 less than i expected. sold for $6900.
