Is it possible for a stock 1989 honda civc hatch to run a 14 in a 1/4? Or a mini me with stock block?

okay I got a 89 honda civic hatch that I thought was stock and we ran it and it hit a 13.5 i call that a 14 there is no signs of perfomance how can i tell if it is a mini me???

VTEC head. If it doesn't say it on the valve cover, look for the codes on the head telling you what it is, or look for a VTEC solenoid...

with those numbers even if it was a mini me it would have to be more than just that it would have to be built and prolly on slicks, your talking about stock ls1 numbers there

I need to know exactly im not the brightest.. new to honda.. rep ++ if ya help

look for this it will be on the end of the head on the passenger side

To pull a 13.5 you'd need more than just a stock VTEC head on the stock block. Is the car modded otherwise? Suspension? Tires?

I was thinking 1/8th mile track before I even got to yous' posts. But there's no way a $500 Honda is gonna run 13s or 14s in the quarter.
