So who here all golfs? I know there are a few really old threads related to golf, but I figured I might as well start a new one.

I've been golfing since I was like 4, but I didn't start taking it really seriously until freshman year.

My handicap right now is a 3. I play on my highschool golf team and I am #1 Varsity:D. My best round ever is a 3 under par 69 at a course called Eaglemont.

I spend at least an hour practicing on crappy rainy days and upwards of five hours on days when the weather is permitting. I take lessons every Friday from Tom Sovay who is one of the top instructors in WA.

I took 4th at Districts this year by shooting 76 the first day and then a 77 the second day for a total of 153 (Satisfactory, but not great), winning score for those two days was 74 and 72 for a total of 146. Earlier in the year I took 2nd at the Yakima Jr. Invitational by shooting 73 (lost by one shot, which I gave up on the last hole:(.) I took 12th at an event called the Bill Egber's Memorial tournament which attracts Jr. golfers from across the state of Washington, I shot 76 in the morning round and then fired a 72 in the evening round (playing 36 holes competitively in one day is grueling).

I have the State Tournament on this coming Monday and Tuesday. I'm hoping that I can bring all of my practice and hard work together and shoot at least a par round for both days, maybe better.

lol i haven't played a game of golf in my life, now mini golf im amazing at, not the random putt putt crap but like the insanly hard mini golf courses

Golf frustrates me to no end. Every time I try playing it just ends up pissing me off, lol...

Haha golf is kinda my thing. I can drive the ball on average 275 yds, I've driven four different par 4s before one 300 yds, 325 yds, 335 yds, and one 350 yds. The 325 and 300 yd ones were all carry though :D. Keep in mind that I'm 5' 4.

i play, but i'm not very good.. i've played about 20 times and many times at the range.. getting better, but haven't touched a club in almost a year

i think my furthest drive was 250 yds.. average about 175-200.. i need to get to the range more now that i live up the street from it

Damn Chaz. Looks like you're almost a scratch golfer.

There is so much access to great golf in western washington I love it. My father's a member at Harbor Pointe, so I tend to play there often. Yesterday I actually got out, up here in belligham, in the rain and killed a large bucket.

i play. not great though.

got a set of taylormade rac ht's in the bag. r7 driver and hybrid.

haven't been out much this year. football and surgery killed it for a while.

I haven't played in about a year. :(

I was a 5, played collegiate golf, best round of 67... 31 on the front:cool:
Avg drive of 286, 65% GIR... yadda yadda. I can't putt though. lol

I wish putting was my problem. I can drive it well, use my low irons but I fall apart from 100 yds in. Putting is fine. I guess I can't complain since I am a baseball player at heart.

my problem is driving. i can hit the green from <150 anywhere on the course. hopefully the new driver will help me with my horrible slice from the tee.

you probably need to quit putting your weight on your rear foot and more so on the front foot

i play golf. i like it, but it was just an excuse to get out of the house and get drunk. dont do that anymore so i might do better when i go play in about two weeks. i usually score 114-120 :shrug2:

no lessons, just tips from friends and the range sometimes.
