Help with vtec head

Hi I am thinking of buying a 96 or 98 civic cx/dx. I was wondering can I take the vtec head from a 93 civic si and put it on. If so what type of wiring and converting do I need to do?

both d series...go for it, you'll have to get a vtec ecu....then tap the oil pan so your vtec can actually work a couple other things here and there....

just search a little this has been covered tons. and no you dont have to tap your oil pan

hahaha tap the oil pan!! that made me giggle..yea dude ls/vtec writeups are many in numbers. they even make vtec conversion kits now with the new oil line and such parts needed.

He has a sohc engine, not an ls/vtec.
