My exhaust has a hole in it in the back. When I let it sit and warm up it drips an oily fluid out of the hole in the exhaust. I'm still getting oil on the threads of my spark plugs, my car seems to just so slightly studder on start-up, it smokes on acceleration, it still uses a quart of oil every 350-400 miles.

Oh and I need to take it in for emissions by like June something. So not really sure what I'm going to do. Quite sure that this isn't going to be a cheap and easy fix though.

But I think my exhaust pipe is toast, and I think my motor is nearing the end of it's life. Fuck. :(

I've got $600 right now. If I have to I'm sure I can get my parents to loan me a little bit of money. I really don't want to put too much money into my motor though since I want to swap a gsr in its place.
 
i would start looking for a new engine. you should be able to find an ls swap around here for $1000.

sounds like you might have a blown headgasket. granny that bitch for as long as you can. and put a tow truck number in your cell.
 
Fuck. How many miles do you think it's got left in it if I baby it? I know it's hard to say, but are we talking like 1k or more like 10k?
 
it's a crapshoot. i wouldnt drive unless i had to. i would baby the hell out of it. but i'm not 100% sure thats the problem. i would get a compression test and try to find the problem. might be some leaking gaskets or something.
 
look in your oil cap and if the oil is milky white its prob your head gasket. but other than that i dont know what it could be.
 
From what you described, it should be hardened valve seals plus worn or stuck piston oil rings when the engine smokes when accelerating. I dunno what model engine you have and for most civics, oil on the plug threads means leaking plug seals or the seals under the rocker covers if it is SOHC.
 
It is a d15b7. So for repairs for everything we'd be talking in like the $500-$1000 range I would guess?
 
Yea, that's what I figured. I had no intentions of spending that much money on fixing a d15b7.
 
just get a little upgrade and swap a d16 it should only cost about 850 for just the engine
or a zc is 1250 with trans, engine, and ecu.

:huh: dude where do you buy your engines from? A d16z6 with trans should cost no more than around $500.
 
its a sohc zc with like 12 miles on it
it runs about 130 to 140 hp stock i beleive.

i was just trying to show you where i found it i just googled it to try to help the guy thats it.
and i have a z6 and thats what in sticking with so i really dont need to know where to get the best engine prices.
 
I hope this bitch lasts till the end of summer :ph34r:, still need to get a new muffler. Oh and that reminds me, I need to post some pictures of my car with the PIC coilovers on it.
