I ordered lost motion assemblies from hondaautomotiveparts.com and they didn't send 14820-P30-010 , they sent 14820-PCB-305, I talked to them , and they said that they upgraded the lma's and everytime that you order 14820-p30-010, you will get the new ones, I don't know if they will work at all , and if they are good with forced induction ,,, I took a pic , take a look:

hmmmm very interesting.

in for the answer, as i'll be changing my P30 B16's LMAs soon as well!!

looks like they changed the piston/cylinder absorbsion device to a spring. i would whole heartedly assume that would keep them from sticking (the main reason people replace em).

I got PCB-003 ones that I've been trying to get rid of(H22 ones). They're suppose to be stiffer but require shims/washers.

OP, i just want to let you know, LMAs have nothing what so ever to do with forced induction. If you could explain your logic on how you think they can be related, please let me know.

LMAs cushon the VTEC rocker arm when VTEC is not engaged.

cam lobe profile and engine speed are the only 2 things that could relate to it's function. with turbo, you generally dont need to raise the redline. for the most part, I think even stock ITR LMAs are fine for increased engine speed and higher lift cam lobes.

Yup, most people upgrade to the OEM ITR LMAs when upgrading to a higher lift cam. It's a "forgotten" mod that most people don't think about.

I was thinking about the stress , I wanted to ask , cause I have nothing in mi mind that tells me that was not going to work , I thought I was missing something , but look like Im not ! I had to ask !:)

Well dont get me wrong, it might be an issue of weather or not those are a direct fit still. I dont know that. Just stating that there arn't upgraded aftermarket LMAs available or necessary for built motors.

The ITR LMAs are necessary for high lift cams. You don't want to crash a large VTEC lobe into the taller normal LMA and break it.

very true, thanks for making that clear.

so are these new LMAs pictured the real deal? are they indeed an upgraded part from honda now?

I'm confused !!!!

well, I think I will be the lab rat ! , I will give them a shoot and try installing them to see how they work and I will let you know what's the result ! hope everything goes well !

Which ones do you have, Mike? I would assume non-itr, but that's just a guess since you didn't boost.

Then again you have amazed me with your answers before and reasons to do things a certain way so you could have the itr's. haha

OK people , I changed the LMA's with the new spring design, the rocker arms are tighter than before , but I still have that weird sound , it's more quiet ,, but still there ! , I will use the car a couple of days and I will adjust the valve lash again

I have the ITR LMAs. One of mine went out and I couldn't find just one... so I replaced the whole set with ITRs instead of stock B16 LMAs.

Forgive the slight thread jackage...but would those work for my build, Mike?
