Nick Go FAST!!
A local friend bought the F20A motor I have off of me. He wants to put it into his 98 or 99 Civic Coupe. I did a lot of searching this morning and it looks like I just need the H series mount kit to get it in there. My question is this: We plan on using the F22's stock trans from my 92 Accord. Do I need to change the hubs and use the Accord axles? I read a thread this morning that says to use the Accord axle and an Integra intermediate shaft, is this the case with this setup too?

What ecu comes in those cars? Does anyone know off hand?

Thanks :)

im not sure about an f20a swap its a heavy motor i know. if im correct i think you have to cut part of the cross member to put the h22s in but ive never heard ne one put an f20 SOHC motor in a civic but i would imagine you would need to use the axles from the accord but i dont have any clue if the hubs will fit mabey if you do the swap you can put info for people interested in doing that swap ! you could be a fore runner! a pioneer~

Stop giving advice unless you know for sure ;)

You are NOT correct. An F-series into a Civic is that same as an H-series into a Civic, you just need a mount kit. You may have to do some cutting of the transmission tunnel to get the shifter to work right, but you don't have to cut the cross-member at all...

Was I right about the axles Brutal? You seem to be a pretty good authority on Accords, I would def take your word :)

Honestly man, I'm not quite sure. :( Let me look into it a bit...

EDIT: I busted out one of my books and read up on it and it appears that you can use the standard combinations of 90-97 Accord intermediate shafts and 90-93 Integra axles or 92-96 Prelude shafts and 94-01 Integra axles.

For the ECU, I couldn't really find anything...
