Hey all, I'm starting this thread for anyone who was interested in turbo hondas. I'm going to build my turbocharged STi killer and take lots of pictures for you. There was acouple of guys on here who were hating on my turbo setup when I gave advice to another forums member on what he should do about a forced induction setup. Well, I'm going with my setup and have got alot of props for my out of the box SRT-4 style tuning. This is going to be my 2nd turbocharged car. My first is a white srt-4 with a 50 trim turbo setup and water/meth injection. I'm going to use that style of turbo setup on my honda. The car is going to be around 300 wheel horsepower and setup to dominate the streets and take out all the STi's and EVO's around my area. I'm dubbing the car "The Golden Monster"

The project car is going to be my 1992 Civic Hatchback with a B16a2 swapped motor from an 2000 Civic Si. For transmission I have a 1995 Integra GSR tranny. For mods as of now I have a K&N Ram Air Intake, Full mugen suspension, MSD spark plug wires with denso plugs and that's about it for now. Now onto what I have purchased so far, and what I have as of now. I currently have an ACT heavy duty clutch with a modified street disc that will hold 243lbs of torque which is more than enough for what I will be running. I also have a CoolingMist water/methanol injection kit which I have gotten alot of haterage from people on these forums. I also have a Autometer ultra-lite EGT and Oil pressure guage.

I just made a large purchase which Includes: Greddy Emanage Ultimate with a plug and play harness and all the options, a Walbro 255HP in tank fuel pump, RCengineering 440cc injectors with plugs, GuageWorks triple guage a-pilar, Buddyclub 2mm head gasket, AEM eugo wideband o2 guage, Denso one step colder spark plugs, and .50AR .63 Hot side turbo kit with a stage 3 turbine wheel and large front mount intercooler, and a 3inch full custom exhaust. Here's a picture of the dimond in the ruff, the motor, clutch kit and water injection kit. Sucscribe to this thread you won't be let down. I will get into more details about what I'm going to do tommarow, I have to wake up for work so I'm going to bed. I just wanted to get this thread started.

Well guys, Today I'm noticing that my stock clutch is dying so I most likely will find someone in southern california to install it. Any suggestions? I also just upgraded the factory brakes to withstand the higher speeds I will be braking at. The brake upgrade went smoothly, I upgraded the rotors to Brembo Drilled and Slotted Rotors,

Well guys, today I started to feel my clutch go out. I need to get it replaced on monday with the ACT clutch that I have. I also picked up a case of Royal Purple oil and some Peak radiator and a bottle of Redline Water Wetter. I also upgraded the stock brakes so they will be able to withstand the high speed braking I will soon be doing. I added Brembo drilled and slotted rotors with Earl's stainless steel brake lines and Hawk HPS brake pads. A quick update on when the parts are coming. My hood is taking forever but, that's not at the top of my list anyway. The turbo setup and exhaust come on wednesday and all the supporting upgrades come on monday. So this week I will be turbocharged, hopefully if I can get a boost guage, custom charge pipes and the clutch installed in time. I'm lazy right now but, I'll post up some new pictures soon. I started on some of the body work, and I got a friend who will be painting my car in his shop. He's a very legit painter, I'm going to stick with gold but, there is this one blue color that caught my eye, the color was gorgeous so I have to think long and hard about it.

what turbo will you be running exactly? and 440 cc injectors will be maxed out to hit 300 whp , unless your tuner likes to run allot of timing. which i don't recommend. you can reach 300 on them but a set of 550s would be allot better choice. heck i would go with 750s just so you have room to grow.

Thanks, I just got a good deal on ebay for this set of RCinjectors. I figure when I get my head ported and assembled with the crower valvetrain products and get my forged pistons and rods in there, I will get some 650cc's. For now I will be running 6psi on the stock internals with the 440cc's. I agree, I can make 300 with 440cc's but the deal was too good to pass up and I just want to get the turbo in and fuctioning instead of waiting for me to get the money for bigger injectors. Thanks mang.^_^

Parts Arrived Today

Today a shipment of goodies arrived at my door. My Greddy E-manage Ultimate with all the options and a plug and play style wiring harness, AEM Eugo Wideband o2 guage, my triple a-pilar guage pod, and my one step colder denso plugs. I will post a picture in alittle, I'm working on the accounting for my friends buisness.

Advancing the timing does not aid in consumption of fuel. 440's should be fine for 300whp.

Emanage ?

Emanage ?
I'll post up a picture of what the ecu looks like tommarow. I just got my car back from getting my ACT street mod 243tq Clutch and my 500hp MuenzRacing Custom axles and a new slave and master cylinder to keep it all fresh. I also have a good collection of parts including my turbo, manifold, Walbro 255lph HP(High Pressure modified specially for forced induction applications), 440cc injectors which I do not regret buying now that I was enlightened by another forum member and will be fine for up to 350whp and I got a good price so buying bigger ones once TIracing builds my motor won't be too much of a shot in the wallet and won't come until maybe at the latest by next and second to last semester of college:). My greddy emanage ultimate with all the fixins and a plug and play harness which is soo helpful and will allow me to skip most of the wiring between my ecu and the oem ecu. Two Autometer ultra-lite guages(EGT and oil pressure), and AEM uego wideband. I also installed my wheels and got my projector one piece headlights and Red/Crystal 2000 SIR style Non-LED taillights that I may niteshade the red part(might be too much for me tho, it's just an idea). I will have alot of pictures up of the progress I've made trying to un-bucket this dimond in the ruff. I've just been reading up on how to use my Greddy Emanage Ultimate and the proper way to apply boost and fuel to my engine safely since I will be using stock internals for acouple of months. Hopefully no-one reads this and f**ks up my ebay purchase, nevermind it just ended. It's for an eagle lightwieght forged crankshaft for $260.00 brand new and shipped which is a steal, and most likely stolen:cool:. Keep checking back, tommarow the pictures will go up and I will start keeping a very percise log of all the modifications and problems I will encounter so this will add to the vast accumilation of knowledge on this wonderful beacon of knowledge aka Hondaswap.com (a little plug for any admins that are reading, don't say I don't try to promote the website^_^). The golden monster is still in the ruff but, the final product is near stay tuned. PEACE.

PS. Everyone else in the honda scene around my area thinks my meth injection idea is EXELLENT and wants to copy. Everyone wants lower EGT's, so why wouldn't you want meth/water injection to kick in everytime your pushing high boost. It will save your motor and allow you to run a more desirable Air/Fuel ratio which wouldn't be safe to run without the CoolingMist direct intake injection kit. Taking the srt-4 style of turbo upgrading and applying it to hondas is a good idea. Haters will always be haters, I wonder where they are they haven't posted in this thread yet to discredit all my years of tuning and knowledge. Not saying i'm the best or anywhere near the best but, I know im good. :)

GOAL: The goal of this build is to make a honda which are widely disrespected in my area that will take out the STi's and EVO's that flood my area. The one car I do want to kill is my friends 94 hatch with a K20A swap, his car is so ballin. I want to kill it :).

I'm thinking about the water injection too I think is a good idea, even if I know that I am in a secure spot I would like to have more torque and get more power . what I noticed is that you are wrong in two things , 440cc will max out at 300whp , but you will see when tuning ! , then , I know what is e-manage , but what I don't understand is why you get piggybacks having better ways to tune your car ! I say all this cause I had the experience already !

AEM EMS and hondatas are cool but, the emanage ultimate is just like an AEM EMS I think, there are so many features, it's like an apexi safc-II's ease of tuning with all the bells and wistles of the aem ems. I'll get more into it when I start mapping later this week when I'm turboed. I'm going to start piecing together all the oil lines and such so I just have to bolt the f*cker on. I got lots-a-pictures for you guys, I'll post them up in a second I just have to photobucket them.^_^

The Manifold and Turbo aren't that bad acctually for the price. I am a skilled mofo with a dremil tool and I'm going to smoothen out all the rough inner-welds and the 4-to-1 connection between the runners and the manifolds mounting plate and it will work perfectly. I'm opting for a dual ball bearing AGP 50trim like I have in my srt-4 eventually but, for now this will do.

Pictures Again

I forgot to post up my faviorte part of this custom turbo kit the intercooler. I'm going to cut the front bumper to further expose the charge pipes and the core/endtanks of the intercooler as this person did from the May 2007 Issue of Dsport, a magazine dedicated to very fast daily driven cars. This blue honda runs a 10.19 second @ 147MPH 1/4 mile Which is boosted to and held at 32psi on E85 Ethanol established at 606 wheel horsepower.

Wut made you decide to use the E-Manage and piggybacks over a tuned factory ECU? Also, at 350HP do you see your intake temps being far enough outa hand to use both that big ass intercooler and the meth injection, or are you preparing the car for when you upgrade your parts farther?

that intercooler is way overkill.

nice. straight up ebay setup. be careful with those stainless tubular mani's they like to crack.

Werd. Maybe I missed it earlier but that turbo apears to be an E-bay item too. If it is, be careful with how much oil pressure you feed it.

Updates?

I've been really busy at work and my girlfriend just got her degree and gratudated from CSUN but, I will update soon. I just got my 500hp axles and a new alarm /w remote start to further protect the baby. Kill switchs were installed by me yesterday. The ebay setup is all I can afford for now until I handle until I stack more cheddar. Everyone knows the postition im in money wise and has been there acouple times themselves. I agree the manifold and turbo are ehh...but I will get different ones later. I want a dual ball bearing agp 50 trim like I have on my srt-4 and a peakboost tubular manifold. That combo will put out big numbers in the future but, for now 6 to max 9...most likely six psi will be ok for the next couple of months I can deal with 220 wheel horse. I just really want the car to be boosted you know what I'm saying. I am also rocking a jdm fd2 type-r badge on my car and am about to start fixing the dents slowly and mounting up my mugen front lip and type-r style rear lip. I have one delemia. The emanage ultimate said that it either came with or could sucessfully apply boost to the stock oem map sensor. I hope this is the case because everyone knows that oem honda map sensors go loco when boost is applied to them. If not, I found a 4.0bar max aftermarket map sensor that looks legit but, its $160 bucks that I don't want to and can't spend yet. Lets hope greddy or the retailer didn't lie, I hate liars. Update tommarow or the next day I promise.

The intercooler is impressively good, the welds on it are very clean and look like stacks of dimes. And from the inside with a flashlight I couldn't see any manufacture's defects so I'm gonna stick with it, it's hella clean looking and will match with a professionally cut front bumper (my friend is good at mod modification and cutting and mounting bumpers and lips..etc) will look hella clean. I wanted JDM Fogs but intercooler pipes look cooler so i'll just stick with my chrome one piece projectors. Later guys be safe and watch out for the 5-0.

As far as I know, the sensor cannot read boost above like 11 PSI. Maybe Im wrong tho, and someone will correct me here. In any case, why dont you go for a GM 3 bar MAP? They've been used many times before, and theyre better than a missing link while still reasonably priced.
