whats up guys, i got a 87 si and im really interested in putting a small turbo on it... nothing fancy just maybe like 6-8 lbs of boost does anybody have any info on adding a turbo setup to a 1st gen CRX???

positive? hiv positive? just make sure that you know weither it is or isnt fuel injected

um, like i said in the last post i made..... the car is fuel injected. i don't understand why that it seems hard to believe that a 87 si is fuel injected???

i believe you :)

the site i posted above is a 1G haven. check it out :)

1989-2002 1.5 sohc mirage owners are able to use 84-87 crx si exhaust manifolds as turbo manifolds :)

yeah turbomirage i saw that!!! it looks like an awesome site!!!, yeah im not really looking for anything crazy, i just have always wanted to turbo something and this was actually my first car that i sold and i changed hands a few times and i got it back, its got a original mugen kit on it, minus the spoiler, well as far as i know its a real mugen kit.. its got some ghetto monza exhaust tips on it to LOL which are not staying on the car!!! i will post some pics uppf it later this afternoon

HKS made a turbo kit for it

which I had

but sold :(

swap a D16A1 in it, and get an 88+ SOHC turbo kit...you've just got to portmatch the manifold

if i was to do this, what kinda ECU could i run, honestley i want the least wiring as possible, and as far as tuning goes i want to hopefully run something simple

you stock harness with a stock 86-87 (Integra) PG7 and some check valves or an FMU will work...pre OBD ECU's are easy to fool

I'm using a standalone, but that requires some wiring

The thing with the D16A1 swap is you've got to change the motor, tranny, linkage, axles, and front hubs...the axles don't fit in the CRX hubs
-but you come out with bigger brakes up front

thats what im in the process of doin in my 1st gen :)
