I have a Dell Dimension blah blah blah, about 3 years old, and have never had a problem with it, other than the DVD burner didn't work when I got it. I called, they came and replaced it the next day. Piece of cake. I don't bother it and it doesn't bother me. Fine for my purposes.

i hate XPS. get an HP.

i'll sell you on for cheap cheap. lmk. its pretty much new.

just an fyi dell is doing away with the xps line soon(like this month or next). It competes with alienware which they own. So you might get some killer deals if you can hold out a while longer

Free Preview - WSJ.com

Next month, Dell will begin phasing out four gaming systems in its XPS line of PCs, leaving the Alienware line that it acquired in 2006 as its sole offering to big-spending gamers, a largely male group predominantly 18 to 34 years old. A combined gaming design and development unit of the Round Rock, Texas, PC seller will oversee the seven current Alienware models.

The few experiences I've had on an XPS were pleasant, I'd like to get one. Isn't XPS the model they started with only 12" screens and for gaming?

A little more info, please. What model do you have? I am also very curious about the XPS. What kind of problems?

you guys forget that i work in IT and have hands on with many different makes and models. some fail more often than others. some of it is user error, but most of it is just shitty build quality. dell has the highest turnaround rate. HP has the lowest - so i buy HP

There's Compaq and Packard Bell blood in those machines! I won't touch anything with a relation to Packaged Hell.

I didn't have any problems with ibuypower...I've had my computer for going on two years and nothing has gone on it. Got a virus, but that's compliments to user error...

watch out for ibuypower - heard some horror stories
Really, i read allot of good reviews, this model got 5/5 stars frm 17 users.

Right now I have like one of the first Intel Duo Core made and a Ati X700 Graphics card 80gig HD, and a 19inch ACer LCD with Windows Vista. Don't get me wrong it runs pretty good. But I want more

With this new setup I should be a huge difference in gaming. Plus it will be used as my Bedroom TV since i went with teh 28inch monitor :) and the HD TV tuner i got.
