you get the BRAKE
So this evening, I met up with a guy who I met at work, who had just bought a brand new 07 gsxr 750. It was a spur of the moment for him to buy it, but he got a good deal for it. So he has his other bike, which he was planning on selling. I told him to bring it by the job so I could see it (this was yesterday). He brought it by today and I fell in love with it. It's a 1999 yamaha yzf 6R. The bike is in mint condition, very clean, everything in working order. Good tire, decent brakes, 600 dollar service done a couple months ago. It is fully jetted, headers all the way back to a D&D exhaust. He said something about it being tuned. Either way, the bike is fast. I rode it up and down the block a few times just to get the feel back, but its going to take me a few weeks to get used to riding again. Its been 4 1/2 years since ive rode. I felt nervous, somewhat. Either way, I made out good. I paid $3200 cash for the bike, and it has 13,000 miles. In about 4,000 miles, the valves need to be adjusted. Other than that, its pretty much awesome. Let me know what you guys think.

I'll post pictures as soon as the weather is nice. It is supposed to rain tomorrow =(.

this isnt helping my bike fever Ive had this spring.... I havent had a bike/rode in a little over a year. Hopefully things will pan out my way and Ill have another one before the end of July. Either that or a K series for the ek.... its a tough call.

Congrats to you... Im kinda jealous!

Bikes are so much fun. You should skip the k20 and get the bike. Keep in mind, bikes rev higher anyway ;). And if you ever want a ride, come see me... its a two seater :)

either way Ill have both in the future...just need to figure out which one I want 1st. Logic says bike for the remainder of summer and fall then project k series for winter^_^
Ill keep that in mind.... but Id rather have my own bike, its hard for me to trust others when doubling up on a bike.

threadjack - lol at tiengirl's new sig!! can't rep i have to spread it around... but :lmao:!!

Insured and registered the bike today, bought a helmet and gloves. The weather is kinda cloudy with an 80% chance of precipitation so I dont think ill be riding it today. :( I took pictures of it with my cell, but for some reason I cannot send them to my e-mail, it will only let me send to a number. So later ill get the camera and take some more pics.

I rode into work today in the rain. just jeans on.

The key is to keep moving. I think the Suzuki 500 has the flared plastics. That should keep your legs dry.

my 250 would soak me with the water. The zx12 seems to be a wedge through most things.

went riding last night and I rode my friends brand new R6, honestly it's further down on the totem pole of bikes Ive rode. It handled decently in the seriously 45+mph winds that we're having this week here. I havent gotten to really ride since last spring... and my legs are a little sore.

waiting for pics =)

you can always pull it into your house like I did and take pics there lol
