I picked up this 99' GSR head off this guy for a good price. After i got it though the first thing i realised is that there was what appeared to be a dowel pin that was all bent to **** sticking out of the bottom of the head. What exactly is the "dowel" sticking out of the head, ive never seen it on other heads before and how do i fix it?

Thanks for the help guys, i really appreciate it :)

yep dat dem piece raught thur is a dowel pin. It just keeps the head from twisting around on you. You will want to replace that, you can get the at a honda dealership

So i can just give it a good ole yank and it will pop out? I was going to order new dowel pins for the LS/VTEC conversion anyways...

yeah it should pop out, they arent' attached. If you have an extra tranny lyin around, they're in there too. I bent one and I just took one out of the tranny.

Oh sweet! Thats nice to know, i got an old POS YS1 justing taking up space in the corner of my garage, ill see if i can pop it out of there.

Thanks guys
