what type of fuel pump would you recommend for a straight B18C EG swap? I doubt the stock D15B fuel pump will cut it. I'm not sure if a GSR fuel pump will fit in a civic? would a Walbro fuel pump be overkill?

Thanks,

Wally is going to be over kill, The stocker will work just fine.

Do you mean the stock D15 pump or a stock GSR pump? I'm not sure if a stock GSR pump will fit or will it?

I'd say go wally incase you're upgrading in the future.

And I'd say he means stock gsr pump. d is prolly not gunna hold up.

The d15 fuel pump is quite old so its getting replaced anyway.

I'm thinking I'll go with the Walbro 255LPH, I just thought it might be overkill since this is a direct stock B18C swap....no Turbo or SC.

if youre worried, upgrade. once again its $90 shipped. its not "overkill" because your injectors will still deliver the same amount of fuel. the pump just flows more--IF it needs to. it wont be "overkill" unless you raise the fuel pressure, which you wont be doing.

You shouldnt be able hear the pump running, it should make a slight whine when you turn the key to the "on" postion, but if you can hear it when the car is running that means the pump is getting ready to go out.

ya you're right it should make a slight noise.

I'd read that Walbro 255's are really loud, but I think the guys that said that must have bought some cheap ebay-crap knock-off.

I just installed a Walbro into my hatch, but I haven't tried firing it yet. So im not too sure. But I would think that a stock D-Series fuel pump should run a GSR just fine.

I ran my stock D pump on my LS for ~10,000 miles, no problems whatsoever. The pump had nearly 190k on it when I removed it for the Walbro.
