whats up i got a ls vtec setup with 9.0 to 1 compression and i have a bock guard with a aem methonal kit everything was dont the rite way but i didn't sleeve the block how much power you think i can make and i want to be able to drive it every day so what you guys think and it has a victor X intake 70mm throtle body and a 60-1 turbo 1000cc injectors thanks for the help ............

Welcome. First off my eyes are boiling fron trying to read the red text, and as for your motor, good setup. About 300whp on a good tune.

i want to get more my friend has a stock turbo gsr thats making 380whp

Youll smoke him all day long when his car is blown up and your driving you 300whp car for years. I was just giving you a safe number, you did say it will be your DD, anything more than 250-300whp will suck for DD after awhile.

Sure. But how long does it last? Chances are probably not very long. The more power you push on the stock sleeves, the more life you take out of those sleeves. Its smart to stay right around 300-400 whp at most.

ok cool anyone else what about the methanol kit does that do anything ??

lol ok i have seen people making like 500whp with the same setup and they drive everyday i don't know

Yeah, they either built the hell out of their engines and have programmable ECUs with multiple tunes for street and track driving, or (like Matts96HB said) their shit is going to blow up soon. 500 horses on a FWD car does not a fun daily driver make...

^Word.

500 whp on the street daily driven is going to be a pain in the ass. Parts WILL break with that kind of power. Its not a matter of if they will, its when they will.

Not only that, but 500 whp on the street is going to require alot of traction parts. You'll simply spin the tires everywhere you go without the proper traction parts. Not to mention the gas miileage probably won't be all that great.

With that meth kit dont you guys think he could run mid to high 300's pretty comfortably, assuming he has a halfway decent tune?
