i have a complete f22A motor i wanna put in a civic...but i was wonderin since the f22 and the h2s are alike what head can i use best for the f22 block..and also what intake manifold will be best..

You can put an H22 head onto the F22 block if you want. Also, if you're just going to stick with the stock F22, you can use an H23 intake manifold to gain a few horses...

or f22a6 w/ the upper plenum of a h23a1 or h22. little better tq than the full h23a1. if u want dohc. try and find a f22b dohc jdm head. direct bolt on. or a h23a1 is very similar but u have to machine 2 oil passages.

is there a swap guide on a 92 civic with a 96 f22b sohc vtec motor??
i know thats not the best motor and the vtec is totally different from a H or B series motor... but we got the motor for free with all the harnesse... everything... motor harness ecu and all under dash harnesse the ecu from the accord .. but thinking i cant use it becuase its obd2 being a 96.....i know i probally need to change some stuff around... fuelrail what size injectors iam i going to need... can i block the egr valve off completely? i dont have to worry about inspections being from SC :D

i am mostly worried about the wiring part,,,,
what ecu to use what harnesses to use
what axles to use...
any help is greatly apperciated and i not try to jack this thread

also the civic was an auto but wantting to use the f22b manny tranny
clutch res from the accord looks like it fits in but the pedla dose not...
so iam guessing i need to the junk yard and find a straight drive civic what years are compatible
for a 92? need clutch and brake pedals?
any speacil wires i need to get rid of.. throw out the tcu completely? if the civic even has one..?

Ok, then what are you trying to do?

Why would you try to use Accord pedals in the Civic chassis? You want the Civic pedals. Get rid of the TCU, you won't use it for a manual transmission. You'll need to either modify the stock ECU or find one that was originally paired with a manual transmission. And there's no reason you can't use an OBD2 motor in an OBD1 chassis. You just need a conversion harness.

As was mentioned before, doing this swap is just like doing an H22 into a Civic, so research that and you should get the answers you need...

Isn't the F22A a SOHC engine? I didnt think you could interchange the heads of SOHC and DOHC engines.

Not all single-cam engines will accept dual-cam heads, but some will. You can swap blocks and heads between pretty much any of the H/F-series engines. An H22 head onto an F-series block isn't a bad idea actually; you get the H22's VTEC and better flowing head, plus you eliminate the H22 block's FRM sleeves, which is a weak point when it comes to boosting...
