I have a 2000 honda civic ex coupe...My check engine light came on and i ran a dignostic test and it says i have a bad secondary oxygen sensor...So i brought the new sensor and me and my friend got under the car and we seen the secondary sensor(after the catlayac converter) running up to somewhere in the car...I was jus wondering where do you plug it in to?...I dont have a car manual so i was wondering where its plug is located before i start tearing stuff apart...Please help...

The wire runs up into the center console base. But you don't need to go that far. Just above there should be a stay that holds the plug suspended above it's o2. I'd take a pic for ya, but my 2000 ex is no longer OBD2.

its in the engine bay just follow it. it goes to a clip

Not the secondary o2.

It comes thru a grommet into the cabin in front of the shifter in the bottom of the center console, to be more specific. But the clip is on the underside of the car.

The secondary o2? How in god's name could it be by the distributor?? The secondary o2 is located in the cat. Are you referencing a 2000? Interesting..., but I know my car.

So will i need to remove the center console to plug it in?

im saying that the clip that plugs into the harness was under the dizzy, not the o2 its self, it was on a 1996 dx hatch, bone stock

That's completely weird. I've finished my wire tuck not too long ago tho. Deffinatly comes thru a grommet in the floor. I couldn't imagine that o2 running all the way to a disconnect clip by the dizzy. It would be rediculous to replace that 4-5 foot piece of section when replacing that o2. Idk man. I've got my haynes here too, 96-00. lol

To Demack, noooooooooooooooooooooooo. I was trying to be clear it's on a stay (which is a mount for the clip to be held) above that o2 which is above the cat in that cavity.

If you happen to have a Haynes manual, #42025, picture 12.7 shows the location of the plug. It's in the upper left of the picture.
