Sleeves, forged bottom end, agressive cam, head work, large turbo (not that^^ massive tho hahah), intercooler, good tune. I mean, my list might be excessive, but it will get you there. All things that can be considered.

stock, like 180-200 reliably.

Are you serious? You really think you can do that on a single-cam engine using stock parts?

Pipe dream? YES!

Vitara pistons and forged rods or modified LS rods, at the least if you want to make over 200, just for longevity of the engine. Then add a decent size turbo and tune.
Thats about as much as you can skimp there to make decent reliable power.

You can get a lot with stock parts it just depends on how long you want it to last.

if you want to use stock parts for your build you will want to start with a rebuilt/honed/new rings & bearings B18 GSR block maybe a block guard would help

then purchase and rebuild a B16 head

thicker metal head gasket

put it all together with ARP bolts/studs

break it in N/A before you install and tune your turbo set-up

remember the more power you make with the engine BEFORE you turbo it the turbo will make more power on lower boost levels (so you dont destroy the $5K you spent doing it right the first time)

even with these stock parts/ bottom end you might not be able to reliably make 475WHP but it will be damn fast.

Im pretty much just gunna say what everyone else has. With a single cam you gunna need sleeves, bigger bore, forged internals, oil system mods, a fair amount of head work, nice valve train, fuel system mods, and induction suited for your goal. GL with it.

Bigger bore, maybe not. Oil system mods, ya. An oil cooler would probably help.

I'm not sure but i know later model civics had 1.7l blocks. I don't know if that was because of the stroke or what. That at least gives you a little bit better starting point. Then its just build the hell out of it with a giant turbo as pictured above ;).

ok thats alot of stuff... and i mean it awesome advice guys i appreciate it, that being said what would be like a more realistic power goal on my z6 cuz i still wuna drive it daily...

200whp is always said to be a fun DD.

+1
You can get 200 out of it but thats towards the upper end of what you would want to put out of it without starting to build it up.

It would be nice just to build up the bottom end a little, most people have a tendency to always want more after they start. It will also give the engine a little bit more of a safety net for when you run it hard.

See if you can find a shop that can tune your car if you are not used to this. Take a ride in someone else's turbo civic or fwd car to see if you like it.

Ya driving someone elses car will give you some direction on what you want. I let someone drive my car for the first time and he replied with "damn i didnt think hondas felt like this, screw that mx6!", lol just goes to show you.

A 300whp N/A car will feel different than a 300whp turbo one. I would personally like to have a strengthened block, especially for the reliability..... and to be able to sit beside a vette and say "want to see who can sit at 8000 the longest?".

And 400+ whp in a DD? You take the Autobahn to work?

lol...that would be cool (the autobahn thing) ... but yea i heard alot of ppl talk about 200hp D's and they say its a fun time and i guess thats all i really need but thats why i came on here cuz a dream and reality are 2 differnt things, but i like the 200horse idea lets role with that... i ordered a skunk2 intake manifold i have a t3 turbo i have 360cc injectors and a chip prong thing to put in the ecu so i can chip it and thats about it...not alot of parts i know:ph34r: what else do you guys think il need ( beside like inercoler wastegate BOV i know all that) someone sed like vitaras and stuff... how much of the stock motor should i replace is pretty much what im asking?? (200hp being the goal... o and yes i have a tune shop, freind of mine knows of a place around here) thanks again for all your guys help

Good exhaust, bigger TB will give a nice increase especially with turbo, brake upgrade and some nice rubber. Clutch and flywheel would be a good investment.
