I'll give someone my CRX project, both engines, body and all the stuff (Everything I got) if they can put my Cosworth back in my Vega.

The CRX is the 87, the Vega is complete, trans is in - and the engine runs. Needs an oil pan gasket, that's it. Mount it up and figure out the wiring.

I'd be looking to pay someone about $1000 to do the Vega anyway, and the CRX is worth $2000 to me, so somewhere in the middle has to be a middle ground.

Lemme know what ya'all think.
 
If you wanna check out the car first, come on down . I'll buy what it needs, should be the alternator (What I blew up when I was demonstrating the engine to you, when it burst into fucking flames)
 
Damn, I'd love to take you up on this! But can't take time off work, and then I'd have to ship all that crap... and then find a place to put it. :(

only now it has the matched Tenzo R 17"s in matching grey. Look up my "build" thread.
Instead of doing the CRX I wrenched away on the GPZ600. that one is almost done (Pending Walter's paint choice !)

You coming down with Moschini this saturday ?

no no no. The head you and I were talking about is a D16Z6 that was going to be my mini-me in my old Civic. The CRX, it's spare engine and the special K head is a totally different setup.

You and I are still good for the head trade.
 
its not like a honda or toyota swap. its more of an oh shit this wiring sucks ass swap.

The wiring itself is simple. Very rudimentary sensors and "computer". The problem is that all the connectors are the same, the wires are all black and nothing makes sense. I will be replacing with a Haltech at some point.

Tow the vega up to my house...and it will be done.

If that's the case, then I want it running from you. If you drop your Haltech in there I'll be xtra happy. You have no excuse.
 
i miss my 1g rex :( dont know anything about the wiring but i know how to use a volt/ohm meter and a soldering iron and depending on when its going down id lend a hand for the knowlage.

cel how things been u still got the old hatch? the "public transportation beater"
